2024 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS

In 2024, the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS stood as the ultimate evolution of the mid-engine Cayman platform—a purpose-built machine that brought Porsche’s motorsport DNA to the street with uncompromising intensity. As the first RS-badged Cayman, it redefined what the smallest Porsche coupe was capable of.

From the outside, the 2024 GT4 RS looked every bit the part: aggressive aero elements like a swan-neck rear wing, vented front fenders, and a unique carbon fiber hood helped reduce lift and increase downforce. Lightweight materials were used throughout, and details like center-lock wheels and exposed air intakes behind the doors hinted at its race-bred intent.

At its heart was the same 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine found in the 911 GT3, revving to a screaming 9,000 rpm and producing 493 horsepower. Paired exclusively with a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission, the GT4 RS launched from 0–60 mph in just 3.2 seconds. Combined with a specially tuned chassis and reduced weight, the car delivered razor-sharp handling and a visceral driving experience that felt equally at home on a canyon road or a closed circuit.

Inside, the GT4 RS embraced minimalism with purpose. Lightweight door pulls, Alcantara trim, and carbon bucket seats reinforced its performance focus, while Porsche’s latest infotainment tech and digital display ensured daily usability wasn’t forgotten.

The 2024 Cayman GT4 RS wasn’t just a high-performance variant—it was a celebration of mechanical purity in an increasingly digital world. With its screaming engine, unfiltered feedback, and aggressive dynamics, it stood as one of the most driver-focused cars Porsche had ever built.
