2015 BAC Mono

The 2015 BAC Mono is a purist’s vision of motorsport distilled into a single, street-legal seat. Built by the Briggs Automotive Company in Liverpool, England, the Mono is a celebration of lightweight engineering, uncompromising performance, and surgical driving precision. Weighing just over 1,200 pounds and powered by a high-revving 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine built by Cosworth that produces 280 horsepower, the Mono delivers a staggering power-to-weight ratio. Combined with a sequential gearbox and race-spec suspension, it sprints from 0–60 mph in under 3 seconds and delivers the sort of unfiltered connection between driver, machine, and road that few cars can match.

This particular example is finished in an exposed carbon fiber body, allowing the weave to become part of its visual drama, contrasted by striking red accents that underscore its aggressive, technical form. It carries an additional layer of motorsport heritage with the autographs of three legends—Mario Andretti, Travis Pastrana, and Randy Pobst—each, each signature a testament to the car’s racing soul and its appeal to drivers who live at the limit.

The BAC Mono is not a car built for compromise—it is an apex-hunting instrument where every gram, panel, and component serves performance. As a rare and bespoke creation, each unit represents the pinnacle of driver-focused engineering, and this 2015 example, with its unique finish and storied signatures, stands as both a precision tool and a one-of-a-kind collector’s piece.
